Background of the Gua Musang Region

In retrospect, the Gua Musang Regional Office was established in tandem with the structuring of KESEDAR which was reorganised in 1997 through the decentralisation method. Following that, three Regional offices were created namely Gua Musang, Kuala Krai and Jeli/Tanah Merah.

The KESEDAR Management has stationed one Senior Officer in each Region in ensuring the Functions and Objectives of KESEDAR can be implemented more efficiently as well as leaving a noble(mahmudah) impact, image and effect.

The Gua Musang Regional Development Area originally covered the entire Gua Musang Area – except for settlements developed by Felda. However, once the Agriculture Development Division was established in KESEDAR the settlement areas of the Land Development Plan (RKT KESEDAR) was regulated by the Agriculture Development Division.

Thus the operational area of Gua Musang Region is the entire State Legislative Assembly (DUN) of Galas, part of DUN Nenggiri as well as some parts of DUN Paloh. It is equipped with two Operations office which are Sungai Terah Operations Office and Limau Kasturi Operations Office as the operations implementor wing at the grassroot level,

The operations area of Gua Musang Region covers a total area of 797,976 hectares with its basic information as such:
